What makes your kitchen feel fun and personal?
During the process we decided (or I was persuaded by Amy) to change from a steel kitchen counter to the marble that we ended up with and now neither of us could imagine anything else. The combination of colour and layout make the space feel like it fits us and our family.

Is there a feature in your kitchen you couldn't live without?
It would depend on who you ask in the house, for me it is the oven (especially after living with only an airfryer and a hob for over a year). But for Amy and the kids it would probably be the seat in the corner.

What Spotify playlist do you listen to while cooking?
The Jazz Rap playlist is on fairly heavy rotation when I'm cooking, but quite often this is taken over by the kids playing Olivia Rodrigo.

How did you make choices for your home?
My wife Amy and I have been collecting images and ideas and making changes at home for years so when we got started on a real renovation it was more a question of editing and deciding what to leave out, luckily we have similar taste!

What was a no-brainer when designing the looks of your kitchen?
We knew that we wanted to use bold colours and texture and a mix of colour and material, and the BABOON design process allowed us to experiment with that.

What's your favourite recipe to cook in your kitchen?
Homemade pizza, our favourite is a garlic cream pizza with mortadella topping. Amy makes pavlovas and the kids like to do their own scrambled eggs.
