What makes your kitchen feel fun and personal?
I love spending weekends at flea markets and thrift shops, looking for little treasures. Over time I've collected so many pieces that make me happy, and I wanted to give them a home in my kitchen. The open shelves are perfect for that, I can see all my favourite finds every day, and they make the space feel warm and full of stories.

Is there a feature in your kitchen you can't go without?
The island seating! My son uses the bench to stand on so he can help with cooking. It's also the perfect spot to drop big grocery bags when we come home and for putting on and taking off our shoes. When I'm hosting friends, there's plenty of space for conversation. It makes the kitchen feel lively!

What is your biggest advice when designing a kitchen?
Don't be afraid to use colour!

Why did you choose BABOON?
The high ceilings in my home were quite the challenge, but in the end, they really shaped the entire kitchen. I wanted the space to have unique features, but I wasn't quite sure how to make that happen. Together we designed an island with a custom bench and bar. I love how the Oak fronts, the bright yellow handles, and the full PALET tile wall all come together. It feels warm, functional, and full of character.

There are lots of pops of colour throughout my home, so I also wanted that energy in the kitchen. Luckily, BABOON loves colour just as much as I do, so it was a perfect match.

With such tall cabinets, how do you make the most of the height?
The ceilings are really high, so I can't always reach the top shelves. That's why I love having my red ladder around. It's practical, of course, but it also just feels fun. It brings a bit of energy and playfulness to the kitchen.

We noticed a collection of masks in your hallway, tell us about that.
Yes! Those are paper masks I've collected over the years. Each one reminds me of a trip, an exhibition, or a special moment. Together they've become a little gallery wall that tells a story as soon as you walk in.
